The Instant Group announces four strategic hires to strengthen its existing market capability across the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg.
Michiel Bijmolt has been appointed as Chief Commercial Officer Benelux, based in Amsterdam, to oversee further development of Instant's flexible workspace offering to service requirements of both local and international occupiers in the Netherlands. Flexible office demand across the Benelux countries is forecast to increase by 14% this year.
Michiel is an industry veteran with over a decade’s experience in the region, having previously held senior leasing and occupier advisory roles at JLL and Savills. He joins from European flexible office platform, Flexas, where he was the Commercial Director.
The other senior appointments include Demis Bril, Bart Vollebregt and Noortje van Zomeren. Bril and Vollebregt were previously at Flexas. Bril brings a wealth of technology and AI expertise to Instant, and he will apply his experience to digital marketing. Vollebregt joins to lead on servicing occupier requirements, as well as expanding Instant’s landlord and operator network across the region. Finally, Van Zomeren will be supporting client solutions across the Benelux Region.
These key appointments will support the higher levels of demand from clients, operators and landlords for flexible workspace solutions while also offering a regional capability, core to Instant’s expansion strategy.
The Netherlands is performing strongly and looks set to hit record levels, with active demand up 23% compared to 2023. Instant’s Q1 2024 EMEA flexible offices report found that many landlords (83%) reported an increase in demand for flexible space compared to long-term leases.
Sean Lynch, Chief Client Officer, EMEA and APAC for the Instant Group: “Michiel, Demis and Bart’s local market expertise will be a valuable resource to clients seeking to maximise value from their flexible office portfolios. Their unique understanding of occupier requirements will help us grow Instant’s global client list, as more corporates transition to flexible and fully managed office space. Companies such as Hogan Lovells, Amazon, GSK, and Jaguar Land Rover have tasked us with securing managed space across various markets, and we see a similar opportunity across the Benelux region.”
