Following the successful delivery of two agency offices for Pru Life UK, a leading insurance company in the Philippines, The Instant Group, the largest global marketplace for flexible workspace, has gone on to deliver a third office space for the company with its Managed Office product.
The Managed Office product is a turnkey, dedicated workspace that affords companies a way to procure and deliver space - on time and on budget – incorporating the client's brand, office specifications and user experience. Globally, The Instant Group has delivered over five million sq ft of Managed Office space for large multinational companies including GSK, Jaguar Land Rover and Pru Life UK.
The launch of Pru Life UK’s new corporate head office in BGC Uptown, Manila is the third project between Instant and Pru Life UK. The Instant Group created a strategy for Pru Life UK that focuses on sustainability and energy efficiency while making the workplace thoughtfully crafted to enhance the productivity, creativity, and well-being of employees.
The 51,000 sq ft head office services over 800 employees, while overall Instant has now helped to find and deliver a total of 100,000 sq ft of office space for Pru Life UK, housing over 6,000 of their agents and employees across The Philippines.
The newest office is comprised of three main work and collaboration areas; the Hive is the main collaboration and town hall area, boasting an architectural sculptured ceiling solution, a 4.5 m x 1.9 m video screen wall, an experience wall and a history wall. The multi-functional area can accommodate 172 people for town halls, staff celebrations, team building and other associated events.
The Sanctuary area provides staff with formal and informal work settings, while the Huddle is where training and development can take place. These varied areas were designed to provide an agile and diverse workplace for staff to choose what environment they work in and when. Within the office there are also areas that promote rest and recreation including the Mini Hive, a tiered stadium setting for loose collaboration and huddles.
In addition to work and recreational areas, the office is highly amenitised with a mother’s room, multi-faith prayer room, library for quiet reading and discussions, manned clinic with part time nurse, marketing creative studio, and an IT service hub.
“Working with Pru Life UK has been an evolving journey taking the learning and successes of the previous Pru-Houses and iterating them to develop this latest HQ. Pru Life UK has been open to new ideas and ways of operating that have culminated in the quality and innovation of this solution. Furthermore, with this third facility now completed, we are seeing cross-utilisation of facilities and a real synergy developing in terms of the usage of these Managed Offices,” said Paul Marshall, The Instant Group’s Executive Director, Managed Asia Pacific.
Sustainability was also a key consideration throughout the design process of this office, with initiatives including the use of energy efficient lights, a focus on re-use and upcycling of existing furniture and AV assets where appropriate.
