Haleon, a leading consumer business, in partnership with The Instant Group, proudly announces the BREEAM Excellent accreditation of its latest office fitout at Bankside London, marking a significant milestone in sustainable innovation and workplace excellence.
Triptych, situated in the heart of London's bustling Bankside district, stands as a beacon of sustainable design and functionality. Spearheaded by The Instant Group, the project aimed to redefine modern office environments while aligning with Haleon's commitment to environmental and corporate responsibility.
The BREEAM Excellent accreditation underscores the project's meticulous attention to sustainability across every facet of design, construction, and operation. From inception, Haleon and The Instant Group embraced a holistic approach, integrating sustainable practices, energy-efficient technologies, and eco-friendly materials such as 50% recyclable furniture and cork flooring which is 100% recyclable, to minimise environmental impact and maximise efficiency. In addition, the reuse of lighting also won two awards, as part of the Build Back Better Scheme, which contributed to a Craft College in East London, offering local apprenticeships and courses.
"We are thrilled to receive the prestigious BREEAM Excellent accreditation for our Triptych office fitout," said Nigel Bryant, Business Unit Head GBI & Northern Europe of Haleon. "This achievement reflects our unwavering commitment to sustainability and underscores our dedication to creating workplaces that inspire innovation, collaboration, and wellbeing."
This operation heralds the second phase expansion of The Instant Group’s Managed Office solution for Haleon. The workspace encompasses over 32,000 square feet across five floors, featuring state-of-the-art facilities, cutting-edge design elements, and flexible workspaces tailored to Haleon's evolving needs. The Instant Group has been delivering fully managed offices for over 20 years for some of the largest global occupiers, including Prudential, Jaguar Land Rover, and RedHat.
Managed offices allow teams to embed sustainability whilst not compromising on personalisation and hospitality, ensuring businesses offer the best employee experience to attract, retain and enable their talent. Haleon’s final Managed Office integrates cutting edge technology and amenities for a seamless employee experience. Features include a micro-farm, living wall, sensory and wellness rooms, honesty café, self-service micro market, moveable screens for collaboration, ambient and circadian lighting, and more. Managed offices offer a range of key benefits, especially for companies who have outgrown flex/serviced offices and want to focus on their culture and experience but lack the supply chain capacity to deliver these. Managed offices are also much better speed to market, especially in new markets.
"We are immensely proud of our collaboration with Haleon on the Triptych office build," said Sam Pickering, Executive Director of Sustainability at The Instant Group. "Achieving BREEAM Excellent accreditation is a testament to our shared commitment to sustainability and underscores the transformative power of purpose-driven design."
The Triptych office build sets a new benchmark for sustainable workplaces, demonstrating that environmental responsibility and corporate success are not mutually exclusive. By prioritizing sustainability, Haleon and The Instant Group have not only created a conducive work environment but have also paved the way for a greener, more sustainable future.
As businesses worldwide strive to reduce their carbon footprint and embrace sustainable practices, Haleon's Triptych office stands as a shining example of what is possible when innovation and sustainability converge.
