Hybrid Workspace: Will Short Term Reactivity become Long Term Reality?

The well-attended event featured leading industry experts Sara Veldhuizen (Fastned), Eduard Schaepman (Tribes Inspiring Workplaces), Rob Boers (EY) and Paul van der Bijl (Shell) and was led by John Duckworth and James Rankin from The Instant Group, Eelco Hoet  from MYSS and Ayumi Shimizu from Incendium.

In the course of an hour, panelists, hosts and participants discussed the challenges, opportunities and threats of the hybrid workplace, raising and answering questions and sharing personal views and experiences.

As a basis for the webinar, our hosts shared some insights from a recent survey by The Instant Group: ‘Uniting the Four Elements of Hybrid Working: Human, Physical, Digital & Sustainable’. Since the topic is obviously high on the corporate agenda of companies worldwide, sustainability was briefly highlighted as part of the presentation.

The webinar had a high degree of interactivity, with a significant number of questions from our participants, for example how are companies combining real estate and HR, how can we work as a team in a hybrid environment and how can we really measure ‘workplace experience’?

In addition, they were asked to share their views through a number of poll questions. One of the interesting - and promising - findings is that 77% of the people joining the webinar are part of an organization in which sustainability is part of the workplace strategy.

One of the main conclusions of the webinar is not only that the hybrid workspace is here to stay, but also that the connection and interdependence between human, physical, digital and sustainable in the context of workplace strategy is stronger than ever.
